Barbara Eden actually owned the car until 1991 when she sold the car to a guy named Don Edwards, or the editor of Fabulous Mustangs Magazine, Jeff Tann.. Her car still survives today. Eden wasn’t the only cast member of I Dream of Jeannie to have a Mustang. Bill Daily (Captain Roger Healey) also had a 1968 Shelby GT 500KR.

Barbara Huffman (her real name) became Miss San Francisco in 1951. In 1955 she made her first television appearance in the short-lived The Johnny Carson Show. This was before Johnny hosted The Tonight Show.
Sidney Sheldon hired Eden for the role of “Jeanie” in 1965 after seeing her in the 1964 motion picture, The Brass Bottle. Initially, a contract player for 20th Century Fox, she then went on to MGM, Columbia, and Universal.
